“There is a great sense of community within the Montessori classroom, where children of differing ages work together in an atmosphere of cooperation rather than competitiveness. There is respect for the environment and for the individuals within it, which comes through experience of freedom within the community.” – Maria Montessori
Zahra Khan returned to the CVMS staff in 2021 after previously working with us as the assistant in the Lilac Room from 2015-2017. Zahra received her Associates degree in liberal arts from Kirkwood Community College and has participated in the American Montessori Society training. Her career also includes roles as an assistant teacher at the My Iman Montessori School and as a patient advocate.
Zahra is happy to again be part of the warm and friendly environment at CVMS and to have the opportunity to share her gifts as a member of the Oak Room community.
Her leisure time is spent swimming, cooking international cuisines, and traveling with her husband. She also participates in meditation.
