“The things he sees are not just remembered. They form part of his soul.” -- Dr. Maria Montessori
Kelly Banowetz has taught at Cedar Valley Montessori School for 12 years. She is currently the Lead Directress in the Redwood Room. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education with endorsements in English, reading and language arts from Mount Mercy University. Her Montessori training is from the Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center. Kelly loves to instill a lifelong love of learning in her students. In her spare time, she spends time with family, travels and attends her four children’s sporting events.
Ms. Kelly's favorite quote, by Dr. Maria Montessori, reminds her of the vast impact she can have on the children she teaches. "If I can inspire a love of learning and peacefulness, this can then become part of their soul and live with them forever," says Ms. Kelly.
