Connie received her Montessori early childhood teaching diploma from the North American Montessori Center. Connie holds a Master’s degree in elementary reading and literacy from Walden University and a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Iowa.
Before joining CVMS, she taught for over 30 years in the Cedar Rapids Community School District and in Mason City. She also served as an induction coach and literacy consultant with the Grant Wood Area Education Agency.
She shared that “after 34 years in public education, CVMS seems like the perfect place for me to be! I share the philosophy of giving our littles the time they need to discover and explore at their own pace.”
