“Our care of the child should be governed not by the desire to make him learn things, but by the endeavor always to keep burning within him that light which is called intelligence." -- Dr. Maria Montessori
Amber has been with CVMS since 2013. She currently serves as a Co-Lead Directress in the Bonsai Room. She previously served as a Bonsai Room Directress.
She holds an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Kirkwood Community College. Ms. Amber’s favorite thing about teaching at CVMS is the Montessori Method and “watching children grow during the three-year cycle and the difference Montessori teaching makes for a lifelong love of learning.”
"I believe as an early childhood educator my job is not to simply fill children with facts but rather to help stir up inside the life long love of learning, so they can go along their own individual paths," she says.
Ms. Amber enjoys spending time with her family, including husband and three children, and attends as many hockey games as possible.
