Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Cedar Valley Montessori School (CVMS) announced yesterday that it has exceeded its fundraising goal of $25,000 for its 2017 Annual Campaign.

The total dollar amount donated by parents and grandparents of current students was $27,515, allowing downtown Cedar Rapids’ only authentic Montessori school to begin improvements on its playground, purchase essential outdoor classroom equipment and indoor classroom materials, and equip more teachers with Montessori-based training.

“Once again we are blown away by the commitment that our families of current students have shown to our school and to the Montessori philosophy,” says Stacy Cataldo, Head of School at CVMS. “These funds will allow us to continue to teach in the way that Dr. Maria Montessori ‘said, did and wrote,’ bringing a true, authentic Montessori experience to our children.”
